GFG Projects was engaged to source land and design and construct RDO Equipment’s largest facility globally in Toowoomba. The state-of-the-art workshop and dealership spans over two lots and has been designed to support RDO’s diverse range of vehicles and operational requirements while enhancing efficiency and staff comfort.
The facility includes over 10,000m² of building space, 20,000m² of concrete hardstand, and 39,000m² of gravel hardstand. Designed to support heavy-duty vehicles such as cotton pickers, dozers, and tractors, the workshops feature gantry cranes, a wash bay, and specialised areas for servicing equipment. Offices provide open-plan workspaces, training rooms, and comprehensive amenities to support a team of over 120 staff.
Sustainability was integral, with stormwater treatment systems and rainwater harvesting tanks supporting wash-bay and landscaping use. The facility’s layout ensures efficient workflows, with separate access points for heavy vehicles and customer traffic, enhancing safety and operational flow. GFG Projects worked closely with stakeholders to integrate requirements without compromising the schedule.

“It has been a pleasure partnering with GFG Projects for the design and construction of two of our Queensland facilities – RDO Equipment Toowoomba and RDO Equipment Emerald. Both projects were delivered to an exceptional standard, reflecting the quality, capability, and professionalism we have come to expect from the GFG team. From early design coordination through to construction completion, GFG Projects consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration, communication, and delivering on their promises. The Toowoomba facility, now the largest RDO Equipment branch in the world, was a particularly complex and ambitious build. GFG Projects handled this challenge with confidence and clarity, ensuring that the site – including a multi-functional office, workshop, warehouse and showroom – was delivered on time and to a high standard. The facility has since gone on to win the 2025 Master Builders Downs & Western Award for Commercial/Industrial Building ($30M–$50M), as well as the overall Project of the Year – an achievement we are incredibly proud of. More than just a builder, GFG Projects has proven to be a true partner throughout both major milestones. Their transparency, adaptability and genuine investment in our outcomes make them a partner we would not hesitate to work with again.”
