GFG Projects was engaged to carry out remediation and upgrade works across GenTech Seeds’ facility to improve safety, functionality, and operational efficiency.
The project involved the demolition of several redundant structures, including the administration building, thrashing shed, and a residential house. Structural modifications and internal layout changes were also made to the existing research building to better support current operational needs.
Significant upgrades were delivered to the site’s cold room, including new refrigerant and dehumidification equipment, a dividing internal panel wall, and the installation of rapid roller doors. These works were supported by updated electrical and access control systems to ensure optimal environmental control and security.
Additional works included passive fire service upgrades and internal separation of the warehouse to enable clearly defined functional zones. Electrical works throughout the facility were modernised with the installation of a new main switchboard, distribution board upgrades, and compliant emergency and exit lighting. This multifaceted remediation project was carefully staged to maintain functionality during construction and ensure minimal disruption to GenTech’s ongoing research and operations.
